The waiting is almost over.
After weeks of rumours, cryptic videos and increasingly obvious clues, Oasis have finally confirmed that a major tour announcement is coming on September 14, 2026, strongly signalling the arrival of Oasis Live ’27.
And in typical Oasis fashion, Liam and Noel Gallagher did not simply publish a press release.
Instead, the Manchester skyline lit up.
On Thursday night, a huge drone display appeared over Manchester’s Etihad Campus, forming the unmistakable Oasis logo before revealing two pieces of information:
14.09.26 — 4PM BST.
That means fans will finally discover the band’s next move on Monday, September 14 at 4pm UK time — 5pm in Italy and Central Europe.
After the phenomenal success of the Live ’25 reunion tour, Oasis appear ready to do it all over again.
And this time, Europe could play a much bigger role.
Oasis Live ’27: the announcement is finally coming
The drone display represents the clearest official signal yet that the Gallagher brothers are preparing another major live campaign.
The location itself was hardly accidental.
The drones flew over the Etihad Campus in Manchester, where Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium is located — a venue that has been at the centre of Oasis 2027 rumours for months.
Reports have suggested that Oasis could play an extraordinary extended residency at the stadium, potentially reaching around 12 concerts across May and June 2027.
That number remains unofficial for now, but the choice of the Etihad Campus for the September 10 drone show makes Manchester almost impossible to ignore when predicting the Live ’27 itinerary.
The message is now relatively simple.
The tour itself is no longer merely an internet fantasy.
Something major is being announced on September 14.
What remains to be officially revealed are the venues, dates, ticket prices and sale information.
Oasis have been hiding the tour in plain sight
The Manchester drone display is actually the final piece of a much larger promotional campaign.
During the first days of September, Oasis began publishing a series of mysterious videos across their official social media accounts.
At first glance, they looked like short cinematic clips.
Fans quickly realised that almost everything inside them appeared to mean something.
Numbers, posters, locations, football references and visual details began pointing towards potential venues around Europe.
One of the first clips appeared to contain coordinates leading to Celtic Park in Glasgow, immediately sparking speculation that Scotland could host the opening shows of the new tour.
Other videos subsequently appeared to reference Manchester, Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome.
It increasingly looks less like random teasing and more like a deliberately constructed map of Oasis Live ’27.
Oasis in Rome in 2027 looks increasingly likely
For Italian fans, one teaser stands above the others.
A video published through Oasis’ official channels showed a red Vespa travelling through the cobbled streets of Trastevere, one of Rome’s most recognisable neighbourhoods.
There was no caption announcing a concert.
There did not need to be.
Italian media immediately connected the clip to longstanding reports that Oasis are preparing to return to Rome’s Stadio Olimpico in 2027.
A provisional Live ’27 schedule circulating before the official announcement has suggested two concerts:
July 24, 2027 — Stadio Olimpico, Rome
July 25, 2027 — Stadio Olimpico, Rome
Those dates should still be treated as unconfirmed until September 14.
However, the Rome theory has more behind it than a leaked schedule.
Liam Gallagher has repeatedly fuelled speculation about an Italian return, while Rome officials have previously expressed interest in bringing the band back to the capital.
Then Oasis themselves released a video unmistakably set in Rome.
At this stage, it would be more surprising if Rome were not part of the announcement.
Manchester could get an enormous Oasis residency
If the reports prove correct, Manchester could become the centrepiece of the entire tour.
Industry sources have repeatedly suggested that Oasis are considering approximately 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium, the home ground of Manchester City and a particularly fitting venue given Liam and Noel Gallagher’s lifelong connection to the club.
Some earlier reports even suggested that the number could potentially grow beyond 12 depending on demand.
Considering what happened when Live ’25 tickets went on sale, demand is unlikely to be the problem.
The band’s 2025 reunion became one of the biggest live music events of the decade, with millions of fans competing for tickets around the world.
A huge Manchester residency would allow Oasis to transform their hometown return into something approaching a destination event rather than simply another stop on a stadium tour.
And then there is Knebworth
There is one venue that carries even more Oasis mythology than Manchester.
Knebworth.
In August 1996, Oasis played two legendary concerts at Knebworth Park in front of a combined audience of around 250,000 people, while millions reportedly applied for tickets.
The shows became one of the defining moments of Britpop.
More than three decades later, a return now looks increasingly plausible.
Oasis promoter SJM Concerts has obtained a licence allowing large-scale music events at Knebworth House, with capacity reaching up to approximately 125,000 people.
A licence does not automatically mean Oasis will perform there.
But combined with the persistent Live ’27 reports, it is a significant piece of evidence.
Some leaked schedules suggest multiple Knebworth concerts could close the UK portion of the 2027 tour in September.
If that happens, Live ’27 would not simply repeat the 2025 reunion.
It would deliberately reconnect Oasis with the locations that built their mythology.

The potential scale of Live ’27 appears enormous.
Based on the teasers and reports published so far, possible European destinations include:

There have also been reports suggesting that the tour could eventually expand beyond Europe, with possible North American dates including Las Vegas and Boston.

What Noel Gallagher said about touring in 2027
Perhaps the biggest clue before the teaser campaign came directly from Noel Gallagher.
Asked about the possibility of Oasis playing shows in 2027 during an appearance on talkSPORT in early September, Noel joked that there was no major football tournament taking place next summer, adding that the band would therefore have to “do something”.
It was classic Gallagher understatement.
But after months of Liam dropping hints online, hearing Noel openly entertain the idea dramatically increased expectations that another tour was already being prepared.
Oasis had previously made clear that there would be no shows in 2026.
Suddenly, the gap in the calendar made much more sense.

A 2027 tour appears increasingly certain.
A new Oasis record does not.
Liam Gallagher has publicly poured cold water on the possibility of recording a new album, joking about the impossible expectations that would surround new Oasis material after such a long absence.
Noel has reportedly continued writing music, but there is currently nothing solid connecting those songs to a new Oasis studio album.

Live ’27 may prove that the reunion was never intended to be a one-off.
