UPDATE: TOMORROWLAND 2025 CONFIRMED
Just two days before Tomorrowland 2025 was set to begin, a massive fire broke out at the festival’s main stage site in Boom, Belgium, destroying the iconic structure completely. The blaze erupted on Tuesday 16 July around 5 PM CEST, prompting the evacuation of over 1,000 staff and crew members. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and festival organisers held an emergency press conference, as reported by HLN, to confirm the extent of the damage and the current response.
🛠️ The Festival Isn’t Cancelled — Yet
In a statement released yesterday, the Tomorrowland team assured fans they are “focused on finding solutions” to move forward with the 2025 edition. The festival is still scheduled to run across two weekends — 18-20 July and 25-27 July — though the loss of the main stage is a massive blow both logistically and symbolically.
This morning, 38,000 festival goers began arriving at DreamVille, the festival’s on-site camping experience, which is operating as planned. In total, 400,000 attendees are expected across both weekends.
📍 Other Areas Unaffected
In a fresh update shared this morning, Tomorrowland confirmed that no other parts of the festival venue — including other stages and infrastructure — were damaged in the fire. All Global Journey travel experiences and activities in Brussels and Antwerp are also proceeding as scheduled.
⏳ Waiting on Final Confirmation
Festival organisers are expected to release a critical update by 6 PM CEST today regarding whether and how the event can proceed without its main stage, which traditionally hosts the most high-profile DJ sets and serves as the visual centerpiece of the entire production.
We will continue to follow this developing story and provide live updates as new details emerge.
